The Silver Tree Society was created to honor donors who have chosen to leave a legacy to the Johnson County Library Foundation through planned giving or a deferred gift. Members of the Silver Tree Society will be publicly acknowledged for their vision to support the Library for generations to come.

Johnson County Public Library benefits greatly from the planned gifts. Through the generosity of donors like you, the Library can:

  • Enhance Library programs and services.

  • Provide free literary programs and outstanding community experiences.

  • Plan for the future.

Planned Giving Options

You may make a bequest of:

  • Cash

  • Stocks and bonds

  • Real estate

  • Personal property

  • A percentage of your estate

Life Insurance

You may designate the JCPL Foundation as a beneficiary on your insurance policy or transfer the policy outright.

Individual Retirement Accounts

You may designate the JCPL Foundation as a beneficiary of a portion or all of your account.

A trust may be established to benefit the JCPL Foundation now or at a later time.

You may make an outright gift to the JCPL Foundation and receive annuity payments until a specified time in the future.

Restricted or Unrestricted

Unrestricted gifts allow the Johnson County Public Library to grow endowment funds and quickly respond to the changing needs of the Library. Restricted gifts may be accepted if they are consistent with the mission of the Johnson County Public Library Foundation.

Leave a Legacy

You don't need to be wealthy to leave a meaningful legacy. Regardless of the dollar value of one’s estate, your planned gift will make a difference. Join the Silver Tree Society today and make a difference at the Library tomorrow.
