You Can Help the Friends

If you are passionate about making your local Johnson County Public Library an invaluable resource to the community, then consider joining the Friends of JCPL!

There are two ways to become a Friend, you can volunteer to help the famous Friends of JCPL Book Sales or make a donation. Click here to volunteer or here to donate to the Friends of JCPL

Since 2016, the Friends of JCPL are part of the Johnson County Public Library Foundation. The Friends work to recycle donated materials, provide extra resources, boost support for Library programming and advocate for JCPL. The funds raised by contributions and from the Friends of JCPL Book Sales support Library programs and events.

Friends of JCPL Booktiques
Ongoing Book Sales

The Friends of JCPL honor Philomena Ross, a founding member of the Friends, with the Booktique, an ongoing book sale at the Clark Pleasant Library Branch. Our Franklin Booktique is in memory of Amy Kitchen. JCPL's longtime and very talented graphic designer. Amy designed the Booktique signs and Friends logo.

All JCPL Branches now have Booktiques. All books and materials are for sale for $2. Cash, checks and credit/debit cards are accepted. You can also attend a Friends of JCPL outdoor book sale at our Franklin Branch. Find the next Friends of JCPL book sale here.
